Magnifying glass with opal detail

Exercise to create a believable opal/pearlescent material on the stones embedded in the handle of this magnifying glass. The table beneath is a scan from my Father's workshop, the book is from Megascans. The highlight placement tool in Toolbag 4 was super useful here to pick out highlights in the opal and glints in the brass.

Hard to beat a Megascanned book for detail

The lens was tricky, looked better in Toolbag 3 I thought, even if the refraction is more accurate with raytracing here

Close up of the opalesque stones

Breakdown added at request. The opal is mainly albedo, with a masked scattering map and high glossiness
