Sound on! This character is the culmination of hours spent experimenting with AI in the evenings. The workflow was:
Midjourney for a concept image, a hazmat suited guy (unfortunately with arms crossed)
PIFuHD to create a 3D model from the concept
3DSMax for retopo, UVs and simulation
Mixamo for rigging and animation
Toolbag for lighting, materials and rendering
There were a lot of fixes needed, especially around the hood and head, I ended up quickly modelling over the concept for a gas mask with wide eyes. Cloth was needed to add detail to the back and sides, which were kinda blobby. Everything was exported to Toolbag for lookdev via Alembic.
Horror treatments
3DSMax viewport preview to check cloth and flex modifiers and spring controllers
