Another study of a Midjourney concept to 3D in a hurry! I guess it's an evolution of the method I used here: https://www.artstation.com/blogs/petemc/468w/midjourney-to-3d
I wanted a full 3D model for this one, with as little manual work as possible as I tried to finish it over lunch hour, except for rendering. So, I mapped the Midjourney concept image onto a half sphere deformed into an egg shape. I then relaxed the UVs to avoid stretching at the edges and added a symmetry modifier. Next was turbosmooth and displacement, which I pulled out of Knald, again based on the original image. Final renders are in Toolbag 4. I think I took this as far as possible without sculpting, but the textures/material needs further work. Being Giger-esque I suppose this could be mildly NSFW? :D
